Convection Oven Dry Rub Chicken Wings

 4 lbs chicken wings
2 tbsp vegetable or canola oil
 ¼ cup barbecue sauce
Dry Rub Seasoning
 1 tbsp salt
2 tbsp white sugar or brown sugar
 1 tbsp chili powder
 1 tbsp smoked paprika
 1 tbsp garlic powder
2 tbsp steak or barbecue seasoning
 ¼ tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
1

Preheat your convection oven to 375 °F.

2

Line a baking sheet with a heavy-duty aluminum sheet, and top that with an oven-safe cooling rack. Spray with some non-stick cooking spray, set aside.

3

In a small bowl, combine salt, sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, steak or barbecue seasoning, and cayenne pepper, if using. Set aside.

4

In a large bowl, add the chicken wings and pour in the oil. Gently toss using a spatula to coat.

5

Sprinkle in about half of the dry rub mixture. Using your hands, massage the mixture into all of the chicken wings, making sure to coat them evenly. Add the rest of the mixture according to your preference.

6

Place the chicken wings on the prepared baking sheets and bake for 35 minutes. Make sure not to overcrowd the wings.

7

Once cooked, remove the chicken from the oven and transfer it to a serving dish with your favorite barbecue sauce. Enjoy!
